A promise to our communities

Our passion for making the world a better place runs deep at Ethicon. We’re proud that our products and technologies touch thousands of lives every day, bringing better surgical care to more patients in more places. Yet, wherever we are around the world, the people of Ethicon are united in a promise to improve the health of our communities, too. In an effort to enhance the quality of life in all of those places we call home, we contribute to non-profit charitable organizations whose focus aligns with ours. To learn if your charity qualifies for a charitable donation from Ethicon, please see the guidelines below.

For cash contributions from Ethicon (New Jersey) – please follow the process outlined below

Eligibility
We support charities through the Ethicon Charitable Contributions Fund. Our Fund is managed by the Ethicon Charitable Contribution Committee and supports efforts focused on:

  • Improving care in therapeutic areas aligned to our business, such as general surgery, trauma care, reconstructive surgery, gynecology and otolaryngology. Programs should address the needs of underserved populations.
  • Improving access to care and making patients better advocates of their own healthcare.
  • Support for Somerset/Hunterdon Counties of New Jersey, the home of Ethicon’s global headquarters. The Fund will consider charitable requests serving the disabled, youth at risk, and civic endeavors. Please direct requests for healthcare and basic needs in Somerset/Hunterdon counties to the Johnson & Johnson Somerset County Healthcare and Basic Need Fund at the Community Foundation of New Jersey. Ethicon and other Johnson & Johnson companies based in Somerset/Hunterdon counties jointly contribute to this fund. See www.cfnj.org for more details.
