This full-featured 2/3mm trocar consists of a bladeless obturator and housing/trocar sleeve. It contains a sealing system to maintain insufflation when instruments are inserted or withdrawn, and includes a stopcock.
ENDOPATH 3mm Access Needle
This sterile disposable device consists of a stainless steel needle and an outer sleeve. The needle is a sharpened tube used to establish a path of entry for the outer sleeve.
How it works:
Inside the needle cannula and extending beyond the needle tip, is a spring-loaded blunt stylet mechanism. The stylet retracts as the 3mm Access Needle is pushed through the abdominal tissue and automatically advances forward once the abdominal cavity has been entered.
The outer sleeve contains an internal gasket to minimize gas leakage when instruments are inserted and withdrawn.
A stopcock valve is used for insufflation and desufflation.
ENDOPATH Non-Shielded Trocar
This sterile disposable instrument consists of a flat blade without stopcock for gas insufflation. This trocar is intended only for use in secondary port locations inserted under direct visualization. It consists of a sharp pyramidal tip and is not shielded. It is not intended for use when endoscopic techniques are contraindicated.
FLEXIPATH® Trocars
FLEXIPATH Trocars are sterile single-patient-use instruments that consist of a mechanical obturator and a flexible sleeve. When activated, the mechanical obturator expands the flexible sleeve, which becomes secured to the mechanical obturator for placement. The flexible sleeve incorporates holes (for sutures or skin staples) to secure it to the skin.
ENDOPATH Surgical Thoracic Trocar Sleeve with Rounded Tip Obturator
The ENDOPATH Surgical Thoracic Trocar Sleeve is used in thoracoscopic and other minimally invasive procedures to establish a port for access to internal organs where insufflation is not required. It is a sterile single-patient-use instrument.
