Our Curved Adjustable Gastric Band offers a streamlined, pre-curved design and an expanded adjustment range to accommodate larger patients. It provides the same clinically proven high-volume, low-pressure design as the original REALIZE® Band, to minimize tissue trauma.
The balloon design is backed by proven performance spanning more than 20 years of clinical reports. In fact, no adjustable gastric band is safer or more effective than the Curved Adjustable Gastric Band.3

Adjustable – Offers a 14% greater stoma adjustment range than the original REALIZE® Band.*
Convenient – A removable band extender with a pre-lock position allows multiple locking techniques and provides greater surface area to grasp the band. A removable one-way valve maintains balloon evacuation during band preparation.
Wide – 23mm-wide band provides decreased potential for slippage.3
Efficient – Streamlined, pre-curved band with soft, flexible, low-pressure balloon that eases placement when passed through the retrogastric tunnel.
Easy to use – Locking and unlocking closing mechanism allows intra-operative repositioning. Radiopaque band and tubing enhances visualization under fluoroscopy.

This laparoscopically implanted medical device is used to treat patients with morbid obesity. The implant is a pre-curved silicone assembly that consists of three integral components:
the reinforcing band
balloon
radiopaque tubing

Reinforcing band – provides structural support for the balloon and contains the mechanisms for locking the ends of the gastric band together.
Ability to unlock if repositioning is necessary – mechanical integrity of the lock is verified for up to three lock cycles.
Balloon designed to hold 0 to 11ml of saline – 360° coverage around the stomach.
One end of tubing pre-attached to the balloon, other end connected to REALIZE Injection Port during surgery.
One-size bands – fit is customized by increasing or decreasing fluid via Injection Port.

The Curved Adjustable Gastric Bands leverage a clinically proven, high-volume, low-pressure balloon design to reduce the potential for tissue trauma.
With the low-pressure balloon, filling does not cause the material to strain or stretch. A balloon that is not under strain is able to conform to tissue more easily than a balloon under strain. Lap Band® System balloon walls strain when filled to less than half of their maximum fill volume.1
The Curved Adjustable Gastric Band remains in the low-pressure zone throughout the fill volume range* while Lap Band® System products cross into the high-pressure zone early in their adjustment range.1
